BULGARI HIGH JEWELLERY IN GSTAAD

This was the most exclusive live sketching event of my entire career.

I would have loved to be photographed in an evening gown, sitting in the hotel suite’s bathtub with a BULGARI necklace around my neck. But given the setting… I didn’t dare.

The words “High Jewellery” immediately conjure up dazzling images. Yet the reality is even more spectacular.

The embodiment of beauty and craftsmanship, the BULGARI High Jewellery collection is a testament to the Roman jeweler’s enduring passion for magnificence, the inspiration and ultimate goal of the entire House. In the workshop in Rome, the House’s master craftsmen bring to life the most complex and innovative designs. The exceptional touch of Bulgari jewelry requires exceptional skill and distinctive craftsmanship, often passed down from generation to generation. From the initial sketch to the final polish, including the selection and setting of the stones, each step requires more than just technical skills: it is the subtle fusion of tradition, innovation and inimitable craftsmanship that produces the most beautiful pieces.

So, to present their collection exclusively to their best clients, BULGARI reserved part of the Alpina Hotel in Gstaad and invited me to draw live portraits of their clients wearing the collection. And I must admit… I was impressed. Serpenti necklaces dance around the necks of guests, the BULGARI team is extremely dedicated and professional, and Gstaad is a jewel in itself. The portraits were beautiful. For confidentiality reasons, I can’t share them here but I can tell you that it was one of the most beautiful moments of my career.
