LIVE SKETCHING AT THE PEREZ ART MUSEUM OF MIAMI GALA
It was less than a month ago, but it seems like an eternity, another life. I was in Miami, I had to return to France to open my Pop-Up at Le Bon Marché and for their annual Gala the Perez Art Museum invited me to draw all the guests during a Live Sketching session.
The gala was splendid, on the esplanade of PAMM, which has become one of the iconic buildings of Miami. View on the bay, majestic architecture and vegetation. De beers and Valentino were the partners… the guests were up to the task, certainly one of the most beautiful evenings of Miami… It was magic. With what we all live today this feeling is even stronger.
In retrospect, and in our confinement, it is the feeling of joy that comes back to my mind when I think of that evening, an evening where we kissed, hugged, or enjoyed a cocktail together, to have fun, laugh, dance without worrying about being more than 1 meter away.
I think of all the people I left in Miami, the man I love, his children scattered between the USA and Canada, my American friends and my clients. The United States is experiencing this crisis head-on, just like we are here in France. I don’t know how we’re going to get out of this, or when… but I can say that I can’t wait to draw all of you, hug you, talk to you, laugh over a drink. Thank you to all the event organizers, who make our lives more beautiful and fun. thank you for organizing evenings like this one, because man is not made for you alone.
Special thanks to Cream the Company for its organization, to Valentino for creating such desirable dresses, to De Beers for its magic, to PAMM for mixing culture and fun. Thank you to everyone who came to the gala, not only to make donations, but also for the pleasure of having fun and being together.
I look forward to seeing you again soon.
